The Friends of Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery want to express their appreciation for all of Bud’s volunteer work at the Hatchery, participation on our Board of Directors, and most importantly for helping start the Friends group in 1994. His wife Gloria has also been an integral part of our success, volunteering alongside Bud all these years and also as a Director on our Board.

One memory of Bud we laugh about happened at the Hatchery during a fishing event where Bud somehow managed to put a hook through Gloria’s finger. Bud shooed away the EMS volunteer insisting that he would take care of it himself and do it right! And we will always remember him fishing from his lawn chair at the Hatchery’s “Time Out To Fish” Pond and upon catching a trout, handing the pole over to a youngster fishing for the first time. Thank you Bud!

Dear Anne, Jim, and Janet,

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Everett. There are so many special memories of him and all of you on our summer vacations in Florida. The "growing up" years were made special by your yearly visits!

What an honorable military career he had. How fortunate he was in his retirement years to be able to continue to enjoy the outdoors!

I would like to be able to come for the service. I will see what arrangements I can make tonight.
