Obituary of Constance A. Downing
Constance A. Downing, 93, of South Onondaga passed away March 7, 2016 of Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Brooklyn, Connie moved to Onondaga in 1988. She had worked 20 years for the NYC Social Service Department, retiring in 1986. Connie was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church, South Onondaga and an Auxiliary member of the South Onondaga Volunteer Fire Department. Connie was predeceased by her son William.
Surviving are one daughter Margaret Wipper of Marietta; five sons Robert of Greenville, NC, Raymond of Willow, Michael of Clinton Corners, Timothy of Rangeley, ME and Patrick of Liverpool; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from noon to 2pm Sunday, March 13 at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Monday, March 14 in Corpus Christi Church. Spring burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Otisco.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
