Obituary of Virginia F. Bruno

Virginia "Ginny" Bruno, 91, of Park Terrace at Radisson and formerly of Marcellus, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Loretto in Syracuse. Born in Marietta, Ginny was a 1943 graduate of Marcellus Central School and then graduated from Powelson Institute. She worked 26 years at Community General Hospital as a unit secretary, retiring in 1990. Ginny was a member of the Marcellus United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband Robert P. Bruno in 1985 and son Hal S. Bruno in 1972. Surviving are her children Beverly Edwards of Texas, Ronald (Hilda) of New Hampshire, Mark of Texas, Sondra (Mark) Sammut of Vermont and Kevin (Alice) of Baldwinsville; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be 1 to 3pm, followed by a memorial service at 3:15pm, both held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. Burial will be private.
