Obituary of Robert A. Clark

Robert A. Clark, 93, of Marcellus, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025. Born on March 30, 1931 to Louise Horsford Clark and Averill P. Clark, Bob was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Bob attended Morrisville college where he was a star basketball player, leading his team to many wins and being named MVP. He spent two years in the Army Signal Corp. working on Radar Arrays where he acquired the knowledge and skills that shaped his career path. Bob worked for General Electric, Syracuse Research Corp and Anaren before he started Robtron, Inc., a Manufacturer's Representative company which he passed on to his son Rob upon his retirement in 1989. He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Marcellus. Bob and his wife Carol traveled the US and Canada by RV with their children and on solo trips experiencing the beauty of our National Parks and making happy memories that are cherished by the family. He also enjoyed golfing, game bird hunting and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob was predeceased by his youngest son Jonathan E. Clark and his younger brother Paul H. Clark.

Surviving Bob are his wife of 68 years, Carol O'Mara Clark; daughters Carol Rossman (Jeff), Nancy Maynard and Barbara Clark; son Robert P. Clark (Barb); grandchildren Jason Volles (Kristi), Ashley Volles, Rachel Myers, Eric Clark, Abbie Gillespie, Hunter Clark, Jonathan Jones (Maha) and Nick Jones; great-grandchildren Tyler, Max and Zoey Volles and Elyanna Jones; his sister Bonnie (John)Taylor; brother-in-law Edward (Josephine) O'Mara and many nieces and nephews.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, kindness, and integrity. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever remain in our hearts as we continue to carry forward his values and teachings.

Calling hours will be held from 1-4pm on Sunday January 19, 2025 at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. A Funeral Mass to honor and celebrate the life of Bob will be held on January 20, 2025, 11am in St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis Xavier Church, PO Box 177, Marcellus, NY 13108 in his honor.
