Peter is predeceased by his parents, Peter Sr. and Mary Vignogna, as well as his in-laws Robert and Verna Lass, and his two brothers-in-law, Robert and Jerome Lass. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Bonnie Vignogna, and their children: Annette (Norman) Vignogna, Dr. Michael Vignogna, Dr. Christopher Vignogna (Lisa), Amy Utzman (Kurt), and Mary Beth Vignogna (Pooja). Peter was a proud grandfather to his 18 grandchildren: Mitchell, Parker, Emilia, Ryan (Francesca), Rebecca, Jacob, Christopher (Lindsey), Emma, Libby, Noah, Max, Jon-Paul, Will, Michael, Kaitlyn, Colin, Dhilan, and Jaya. Peter earned his Bachelor's degree in Technology Education from Oswego State and his Master's degree from Seton Hall. He was a dedicated educator, teaching technology and driver's education at Marcellus High School, where he was affectionately known as Mr. V., and adult education at Central Technical School. A proud veteran, Peter served in the Army and was stationed in Korea.

Beyond his teaching career, Peter was actively involved in his community as a Marcellus Town Councilman. He had a profound passion for writing lyrics and composing music, a gift he joyfully shared with family, friends, students, and anyone who would listen. His warm personality meant that he never knew a stranger; everyone he met quickly became a friend. Peter took immense pride in his children's accomplishments and was a loving and devoted grandfather.
