James W. Conner Obituary
James W. Conner, age 58, of Auburn, NY and formerly of Doswell, VA passed away on June 14, 2024 at St Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, NY after a long battle with many illnesses.
James had many names he went by, most popular were Pops, Papa Momo, Grandpa Jim Jim, Jimmy, and Jimbo. Pops was also a collector of many things. Knives, arrowheads, anything Native American or western, anything Harley-Davidson, and most of all kids! Pops loved kids, he was a big kid himself! He "adopted" many, even as adults he would claim them as his! He had a giant heart, gave the best bear hugs, and always had a story to tell!
With that being said, he is survived by his children, Rachel and Natalie AKA his Nurse Betty!!, (Cuff) Conner, "Big Chris" Kilcoyne, Shanelle and Jeff (Brown) Filoso, Zachary and Courtney Vinson, Steven and Sara (Beal) Vinson, "Little Chris" and Ashleigh Conner; his grandchildren, Audra, Athena, Logan, Laila, Savannah, Jackson, Kaycee, Maverick, and Katherine; his sisters, Pammy Thacker, Debbie Mcmanus, Sandy Taylor, and Donna and Rodney Walsh. James was predeceased by his father Roller, mother Martha, sister Lisa, niece Mia, and brother-in- law Mike.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that in his honor you grab a bucket of KFC, some tomatoes, and fishing poles, to spend a day with your family fishing and eating fried chicken!
There will be no services as that is what he wanted. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
