Sylvia L. King, of Marcellus, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in her home on November 9, 2023. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Tyrone J. King. She leaves behind six children Matthew, Bruce, Jason, Melanie, Christian and Amber; six grandchildren Sarah, Laura, Arwen, Harper, Ryan and Weston; her great-grandson Anthony; her brother David and sister Rebecca.

Sylvia was foremost a loving caregiver. She believed that if everyone could open their home to at least one person in need, the world would be a much kinder place. The number of relatives, friends and foster children that Sylvia and Ty welcomed into their family over the decades is beyond counting. She put people at ease and celebrated them for who they were. Sylvia was a hard worker and loved anything related to self-reliance and living off the land.
