Isabell M. LaClair, 99, of Marcellus passed away peacefully Monday, September 4, 2023, at The Commons on St. Anthony in Auburn. Isabell was born in Burke, New York into a family of eight, and moved to Marcellus in 1951. She attended Auburn Community College earning her GED and completed other college courses. Isabell had several jobs over the years, including caring for many elderly friends. She especially loved her work at the Marcellus Free Library in her later years. She was a communicant at St. Francis Xavier Church in Marcellus.

Most of all, Isabell loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling, listening to music, and just adored her grandchildren. She was a wonderful, kind, and loving mother, grandmother, and friend, and will be deeply missed.

Isabell was predeceased by her daughter Sheila Ryan. Survived by son Wayne (Cathy) of Marcellus; daughter Jackie Goldthwait of Baldwinsville; 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A special thank you to the staff at The Commons 2nd and 5th floors for their kindness and the compassionate care they provided.

Graveside services will be held at the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Marcellus on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 12pm. There will be no calling hours.
