Thomas L. Homestead Obituary
Thomas Ledyard Homestead of Tully was born on February 15, 1948 to Margaret Settle Homestead and Robert T. Homestead in Ogdensburg, New York. Tom's love of the outdoors made him an avid runner, farmer, shepherd, ski and snowboard instructor and ski patrol member. He taught Earth Science for the Syracuse City School District for over thirty years at Levy Middle School.
Tom will be greatly missed for his humble humor and kindness to all. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Hallinan Homestead, daughters Anna (David) Voigt, Rebecca (Denis) Ten Eyck, and his son Thomas William Homestead. He is also survived by his brothers Robert, Peter and Charles Homestead, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 21 from 9 to 10:45am and a Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 11am, both held in the Church of the Nativity at St. Patrick's in Otisco. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Otisco.
