Obituary of William "Bill" Sears
William "Bill" Sears, 64, of Marcellus, passed away on May 15, 2023 with his family by his side. He was a life-time resident of Marcellus. Owner and body man at Bill's Body Shop, Bill was also employed at Marietta Diesel and Mac Studios. He had a passion for classic cars and spent many memorable years restoring various cars for friends and family, including his beloved 1956 4-door Chevrolet Bel Air. Bill also was an avid collector of antiques, lover of country-westerns, movies, music, as well as hunting and fishing.
Bill is predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Phyllis "Janie" Sears, his sister Denise, and brother-in-law David Perry. He is survived by his children, Maria (Mike) Hudson, Amanda Sears, Rachel (Jesse) Midgley, Billy Sears, Claire Sears; three grandsons, Kai, Declan, and Seamus; his siblings, Regina (Bob) King, Deborah Perry, Reginald (Debbie) Sears, Mark (Kathy) Sears. Bill also leaves behind many nephews and nieces whom he cared for very much, and friends who were closer than family to him.
Calling hours will be held at Ryan Funeral Home in Marcellus, Saturday, May 20th from 10am to 12pm, followed by a celebration of life at the Marcellus Fire Department at 1pm.
