Obituary of Marie (Foster) Volles

Marie (Foster) Volles, 91, of Navarino, passed away Tuesday, January 12. Marie worked for the Onondaga Central School District in their food service department for several years. She cherished her time spent with family. Never one to let her hands rest, it brought her great joy to tend to houseplants, crochet afghans for family and friends, and complete embroidery art projects. She loved her church and was an active member in that community.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Harold C. Volles (2016); devoted son, Calvin J. Volles (2014); mother, Grace Foster (1962); father, Glenn Foster (1976); sisters, Lucy Foster (1926) and Laura Brock (2019); twin sister, Marian Ramsden (2012).

Surviving are her children, Les Volles (Margaret) and Charlene Moser; daughter-in-law, Terry Volles; grandchildren, Michael Volles (Alina), Laurie Carmody (Seth), Daniel Volles (Christina), and Zachary Moser (Erica); five great grandchildren, Ellie, Clara, Owen, Gabriel, and Isla; several loving nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held in the spring.
