Obituary of James G. Carr Sr.
James G. Carr Sr., 92, of Marcellus passed away at home surrounded by loved ones. Jim was a life resident of Marcellus. He worked for the Onondaga County Department of Transportation for 31 years, retiring as maintenance supervisor. Jim was a member of the Rose Hill Baptist Church. He loved hunting and fishing, but loved and cherished his wife of 73 years more than anyone or anything.
Jim is survived by his wife Frances of 73 years; children James Jr. (Kathy), Cynthia (Stephen, deceased) Ayotte, Janet (Joel) Harriman, Steven (Polly) and Alan (Diane); 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; his sister Emma Crysler and half sister Barb Carr.
Private service and burial.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rose Hill Baptist Church, 2609 Rose Hill Road, Marietta, NY 13110.
