Obituary of Dorothy Kelly Sennett

Dorothy Kelly Sennett, 97, a lifelong resident of Marcellus died suddenly at home on January 28, 2015. Dorothy was a graduate of Marcellus High School and a 1939 Cornell University graduate. She taught first grade in Marcellus for many years. Dorothy was a devoted volunteer and patron of the Marcellus Free Library. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 69 years Martin J. Sennett Sr. in 2010. Surviving are her children, Mary Sennett (Robert Leiss) of Skaneateles, and children, Kathryn, Robert Jr., and Anna; Martin Sennett (Christine Ferraro) of Hopewell Junction, and children, Jack, David and Brian; Dr. Margaret Sennett of Baldwinsville; Andrea (Dan) Tuccillo of Wexford, PA, and children, Matthew, Elizabeth and Andrew; and Thomas (Catherine) Sennett of West Chester, PA, and children, Andrew and Thomas; two great-grandsons Logan and Max; brother Frank Kelly of Marcellus; and her sisters Janet Kielsmier of Arkansas, Kathryn Kelly of Marcellus and Nancy Barreca of Solvay. Calling hours will be 3 to 6pm Friday, January 30th at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Saturday in St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. Burial will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
