Obituary of Carolyn Woodford Rice

Carolyn Woodford Rice, 90, of Marcellus passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at The Commons on St. Anthony in Auburn, NY. A life resident of Marcellus, Lyn graduated in 1946 from Marcellus Central School. She was a bookkeeper for Earl M. Bush car dealership in Marcellus, and later in life worked in the office of the late Dr. Murray in Skaneateles. Lyn was a lifelong member of the Marcellus First Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by her son Stephen C. Rice in 1993. Lyn was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many. Surviving are her husband Jack of 69 years; daughters Susan (John) Clarke-Williams, Sharon Shoemaker (Gary Feldman Jr.) and Sonya (Chris) Muncy; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her brother Clinton Woodford and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 4 to 6pm, followed by a funeral service at 6pm, both held Monday, November 25th at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. Burial will be private.
