Obituary of Laurie Tyler

Laurie Scott Tyler, 67, of Marietta passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 after a brief illness. Laurie was a graduate of Westhill High School and Canton ATC. She spent a lifetime nurturing and caring for her brother Andrew. Laurie's way was always loving and giving to others. She lived a full life, was a great cook and loved to entertain. Laurie was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Mary Jo Tyler, and her brother Thomas A. Tyler. Surviving are Laurie's siblings Sydney Scott Tyler and Andrew Scott Tyler; sister-in-law Jan Tyler; nephew Scott Tyler; nieces Megan (Dave) Christopher and Melissa Tyler; great nephews Logan and Mason Christopher. The family would like to send a loving "Thank You" to her special friends Karen Southard and Karen Heyde. Calling hours will be from 11:00 to 1:00pm, with the funeral service to follow at 1pm, both held Tuesday, September 3rd at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. Burial will then be at Amber Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and for Laurie's love of dogs, contributions may be made to Central New York SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Road, Syracuse, NY 13211.
