Obituary of Diane E. Piorkowski
Diane E. Piorkowski, 84, of 2785 Amber Road, Marietta, passed away at home on Saturday, November 10. Born in Portsmouth, NH she moved to Washington, DC to work at the Pentagon after high school. There she met and later married her late husband of 44 years Eugene J. Piorkowski. Diane worked as an Auditor for NYS Department of Social Services before retiring in 2000. She was a member of a local antique art guild, enjoyed gardening and chair caning.
Diane is survived by four children, Sheila (Glen) Muters, Sherry (Mark) Taylor, Linda (Dan) Muters and David Piorkowski, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several close nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by a memorial service, both held Saturday, November 17 at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main St., Marcellus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friends of Marcellus Park, P.O. Box 301, Marcellus, NY 13108.
