Obituary of Rita M. Parker
Rita M. Parker, 88, lifelong resident of Syracuse, passed away March 7, 2017. Married 67 years to her childhood sweetheart Donald, Rita loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed reading, dining out and feeding the squirrels. Rita worked at American Aerial Scenes with her son Mark.
Surviving are her children Mark Parker and Kathryn (Ross) Wakeman; three grandchildren Adam (Agatha) Parker, Corrine (Michael) McAuliffe and Neil (Emily) Wakeman; and her great-grandson Lucas McAuliffe.
Calling hours will be 10 to 11:30am Friday, March 10 and the funeral service will follow, both held at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, CNY Chapter, 441 W. Kirkpatrick Street, Syracuse, NY 13204.
