Obituary of David F. "DJ" Peatfield, Jr.

David F. "DJ" Peatfield, Jr., 55, of Onondaga Hill passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, unexpectedly. Born in Quincy, MA in 1961, he graduated from Marcellus Central School, and successfully owned and managed two major businesses in his shortened life. Initially, he started DFP Roofing & Sheet Metal. More recently, he along with his wife, are involved in the sale, installation, and service of wood, pellet, gas stoves, fireplace inserts and accessories at their store Countryside Stove & Chimney, Inc. In addition David is a partner in Split Rock Supply, LLC. David is survived by his wife of 29 years, Susan (McGee) and daughter Taylor Nicole, who was the apple of his eye. In addition, David's younger brother Jonathan lives in Albany; parents, David and Nellie live in Marcellus; nephews Jonathan, Austin Gaca, and niece Caitlin Gaca. DJ lived to work. David loved his family and "he did it - his way." There are no calling hours. Funeral services are private.
