Obituary of Bud Campbell

Harold J. "Bud" Campbell, 75, of Memphis, NY, passed away peacefully October 3, 2014 at Community General Hospital after a sudden brief illness. Bud worked 34 years, retiring from Onondaga County D.O.T. and the Town of Elbridge D.O.T. He played slow and fast pitch softball from the time he was in high school to his mid-forties, starting with Kiwanis League in Bennetts Corners, as well as Auburn, Elbridge, Camillus, Skaneateles, Fairmount, Solvay and Syracuse. Bud was a life member of the Elbridge Rod and Gun Club, and a member of the Masons, Jordan Masonic Lodge 386. He was predeceased by his parents James and Kathryn Campbell. Bud is survived by his wife of 40 years Jeannine (Montague) Campbell; his sister Janet (Campbell) Amidon; nephews Daniel (Nancy) Amidon, Ronald (Christine) Amidon and John Devine; nieces Mary Helen Hadden and Barbara Ann Wisneski; several great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be 4 to 7pm Wednesday, October 8th at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. Service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery, JET (Jordan-Elbridge Transportation) or Jordan Masonic Lodge 386.
