Obituary of Kathleen Anastasia Rogalia

Kathleen Anastasia Rogalia (Collins), 53, formerly of Pennellville, NY passed away at her home in Marcellus, NY on October 21, 2023. Kathleen's life was brought to an early close by her over 20-year battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer.

Kathy worked for many years in the local restaurant industry, including employment at Applebee's, Tavern on the Square, The Marriott and The Hotel Syracuse. Kathy was also a small business owner, as she owned and operated a residential cleaning business. She was active in volunteering and fundraising for breast cancer and cancer research. Kathy was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer five times and was a cancer survivor for more than 20 years. She was a true warrior.

Kathy loved life and was blessed with a vivacious smile and powerful laughter that made the woods around her ring with goodness. Kathy enjoyed being outside gardening, relaxing by the pool and most of all being with and attending her children's events and was always so proud of their many accomplishments. She thrived on being a mother and will always be remembered for doing so.

Kathy was an incredible daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. Everyone who was fortunate to know Kathy in life will know her spirit is always near. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother Rosemarie Collins (Ulicki) and brother Matthew T. Collins. Kathy is survived by Charles J. Rogalia Jr.; sons Charles J. Rogalia III, Connor H. Rogalia; daughter Hannah G. Rogalia; father John H. Collins; siblings Denise (Charlie) Letourneau, John Collins, Sheryl (Andrew) Gay, Mary (Sean) Comtois, Eugene Collins, Sarah (Kelly) Collins, Daniel (Jayme) Collins, Shawn Collins; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be this Friday, October 27, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. A Memorial Service will be the next morning, held Saturday, October 28, at 10 a.m. in Faith Chapel, 4113 W. Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY.
