BobbieLynn Featherstone, 74, of South Onondaga, passed away peacefully at home on May 24, 2026.

Born on January 5, 1952, she was the daughter of Angelo and Lynn Barone and Joseph Welch. BobbieLynn retired from Onondaga Central Schools in 2015, where she worked as a teacher's assistant. Throughout her years there, she touched the lives of many students and staff with her kindness, patience, and caring heart.

She was predeceased by her parents and by her loving husband, James Featherstone.

BobbieLynn is survived by her son, Paul (Melissa) Abend II of Jamesville; her stepchildren, Lisa (Jay) White of South Onondaga, Darren (JoAnn) Featherstone of Tully, and Kelli (Robert) Hammond of Vermontville; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brothers, Mark (Jennifer) Barone, Joseph Barone, Peter (Helen) Casella, Dana (Mary Ellen) Welch, Michael (Cindy) Welch, Rob (Donna) Welch, Stephen Welch, and Joe Welch; her sisters, Lani Welch and Kathleen (Daniel) Gardiner; as well as her "second children," Eric, Michelle, and Rick Pollock.

BobbieLynn also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service immediately following from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., both at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main St., Marcellus, NY. Burial will take place the following morning, Wednesday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. at South Onondaga Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the CNY Cat Coalition.

Her love for family, friends, and the children she worked with will always be remembered.
