Phyllis I. Fenner, 91, of Marcellus, passed away March 31, 2026. Phyl was a graduate of Solvay High School in 1952 and SUNY Oswego in 1956. She went on to teach first grade for 47 years at Marcellus Elementary School.

Phyl made friends easily and loved their company. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch with her girlfriends. They often watched the world go by while having a picnic, munching on snacks and half moons. Talbots, shopping and craft club were some of her favorite activities. Phyl looked forward to visiting Alex Bay and "The River" several times a year with her daughter to watch the ships and enjoy the countryside. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Harold "Mel" Fenner in 2010.

Surviving are her daughter Judy (John) and grandson Mitchell. Services will be private.
