Obituary of Daniel R. Muters
Daniel R. Muters, of Marietta, NY passed away at home on January 24th. Dan was born in Chicago, IL but moved to Marietta as a young child and attended Marcellus Central School. This is where he put down roots with his wife Linda of 42 years and raised their children.
Dan was employed at SUNY ESF at a young age and spent the majority of his working career there as a Clerical Specialist II. He retired in 2016 and with his wife traveled the country, embarking on multiple road trips over the next 10 years.
Dan was a very talented artist and especially loved painting. He also loved music and concerts, the beach, and spending time with his family. He always wanted to make every experience a memorable one for his grandkids, whom he loved dearly.
Dan was predeceased by his wife, Linda, his parents, Al and Noreen Leubner and his brother John.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his children, Nathan Muters and Amanda (Martin) Lamon, his grandsons, Keaton and Conner, as well as his siblings Glen, Chris, Raymond, Eileen, Kathy, Michael, Ken, and Penny.
