Obituary of Ann Marie Murphy

Ann Marie Murphy, 66, of Jamesville, NY and formerly of Marcellus, passed away October 22, 2025 at her home, after several years of declining health, with her lifelong friend Shanna at her side.

Ann was predeceased by her parents James and Ann (Mullen) Murphy; brothers Michael Murphy and James (Kathy) Murphy, and nephew Steven Murphy. She is survived by her siblings John "Jack" (Gail) Murphy, Margie Murphy and Mary (Karl) Schwartz, as well as many nieces and nephews, with a special fondness for her "Beetlejuice".

Otisco Lake days of summer youth, brought with it lengthy swims, slalom spills, boating antics and family festivities that shaped her life. Ann Marie Murphy earned a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, one of her proudest accomplishments. This followed her time at Onondaga Community College and Marcellus Central Schools.

Annie's water passion led her to reside in Jamesville near the reservoir. While there kayaking and picnicking, she found a community amongst her neighbors and greatly appreciated their care and energy. Inspired with space and her reservoir backdrop she became a Cat Foster with help from her friend Wendy; a meaningful experience.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am on Monday, December 1, 2025 in St. Francis Xavier Church, One West Main Street, Marcellus. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.
