Obituary of Bette M. Cargen
Bette M. Cargen, 81, passed away peacefully at home, May 12, 2025. She is survived by her husband and loyal caregiver Henry; brothers Donald and Gary Pluff; her daughter Pam and grandchildren Kyle, Brooke and Spencer. Also surviving are her step-daughters Anita (John) Pawlewicz, Susan (Dan) Szabo and Amy (Paul) LaPan and their children. She is predeceased by her parents and brother Lee.
Bette will be fondly remembered for always remembering everyone's birthday, her love of baking, BINGO, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy-all of which she was a master.
The family would like to thank the countless Doctors and Nurses who touched Bette's life throughout the years, especially Dr. Satish Krishnamurthy, Dr. Theresa Lipsky and Hospice of Central New York.
Calling hours will be Monday, May 19th from 10 to 12pm, followed by a funeral service at 12pm, both held at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. The burial will then be at Highland Cemetery in Marcellus.
