Obituary of Margaret "Midge" Woods
Margaret "Midge" A. Woods, 82, of Marcellus, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, C. Timothy Woods, and her parents, Walter and Edith Galaska.
Midge graduated from Syracuse University, where she met Tim, the love of her life. Their meeting marked the beginning of a beautiful life together—one filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Family was at the heart of everything Midge did. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and found her greatest joy in the time spent with those she loved. She is survived by her children, Steve (Lori) Woods and Renee Dwyer; her grandchildren, Shelby (Nate) King, Baylee Woods, Meghan Dwyer, and Liz Dwyer (Nick Berntsen); and her beloved great-grandson, Colton King.
Known for her warmth and unshakable kindness, Midge found joy in life's simple pleasures—long walks, laughter with friends, a good game of pitch, sunny days in Key West, tending her yard and gardens, relaxing on Skaneateles Lake, getting lost in a great book, and watching The Sound of Music. Her zest for life and deep appreciation for beauty and connection touched all who knew her.
Midge will be remembered for her generous heart, quiet strength, and the enduring legacy of love she leaves behind.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 4-6pm at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E Main Street, Marcellus. There will be a private burial held for family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Stroke Association.
