Obituary of Meredith C. Blewett

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Meredith Carmichael Connors Blewett, age 99, on Thursday, April 24, 2025, with family by her side. Meredith was born in Syracuse to Katherine and Daniel Carmichael on March 21, 1926. She resided in Camillus for most of her life, enjoying her last ten years living at Camillus Ridge Terrace. There, Meredith found a home filled with friendships, activities and loving care provided by the many wonderful employees. We will be forever grateful for their care and kindness.

The most important thing in Meredith's life was her family. At a young age, she was left to raise four young children on her own after the death of her husband, John. Meredith returned to work at New York Telephone Company where she retired from.

Meredith is survived by her children, Colleen (John) McAuliffe, John Connors, Maureen (Vince) Esposito and Christine (Jim) Hueber. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Vollmer, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, stepfamilies and several nieces and nephews. Meredith was predeceased by her parents, her brother Dan and husbands, John F. Connors and Robert J. Blewett.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, Camillus on Friday, May 9th at 11:00 am. There will be no calling hours. The burial is private.
