Obituary of Ralph E. Pollock

Ralph E. Pollock, 93, of Marcellus died peacefully at home after a long illness on February 3rd. He and his identical twin brother, Robert, were born in Syracuse on December 21, 1921 and Ralph has lived in Marcellus since 1964. Ralph graduated from Onondaga Valley Academy and Syracuse University with a degree in accounting. He served in the Navy during WWII. Ralph was the co-owner and operator of The Pine Shed in Marcellus. He was an active communicant of St. Mary's of the Lake Church in Skaneateles. Survived by his devoted wife of 63 years Arlene (Farrance); four children: Richard of Bethel, ME, Margaret of Santa Barbara, CA, Ralph of Skaneateles and Bruce (Susan) of Skaneateles; and four grandchildren: Christopher Pollock of Syracuse, Patricia Donahue of Syracuse, Fredrick Polizo of Oakland, CA and Krista Polizo of Santa Barbara, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 14th, at 10:00am at St. Mary's of the Lake Church in Skaneateles, followed by a reception in the parish hall. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 10 West Austin Street, Skaneateles, NY 13152 or The Salvation Army, 677 South Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13202.
