Obituary of Bennett Daniel Lakie

Our dearest, darling, beautiful boy, you were only allowed to stay with us for three months, two weeks, and one day. It was not anywhere close to enough. Everyone who met you fell in love with you. We loved your soul, so forgiving of your brother and sister's transgressions when they were so clumsy with their affections. We loved your little body, so energetic and always, always kicking and reaching and snuggling. We loved your little curls, especially that one little curl that stood up right in the middle – nobody could rock a curly mohawk like you could. We loved how you loved us, holding our hands and singing to us and cuddling us when we needed it. Our love for you will continue to grow every day, and if it could have saved you, we would never have to say good-bye. Know that you were loved every single second of every single day. Until we meet again, Benny. Services will be private.
